Affinity Square US Inc. (“Chat&Yamo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal data when you use the Chat&Yamo mobile applications for iOS and Android (the “App”).

This Privacy Policy applies to the Chat&Yamo mobile apps distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Our official website is www.chat-yamo.com.

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

3. Who Can Use the App ?

Chat&Yamo is intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not permit users under 18 to use the App.

If we learn that a user is under 18, we may block the account and permanently remove the account data. We may retain a limited identifier where necessary to enforce this rule, protect the App, and prevent repeated misuse.

4. The Data We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal data:

a. Account nd registration data

– Phone number

– Email address, where provided

– Password, where applicable

– Authentication identifiers from supported login providers, such as Apple, Google, or Facebook

b. Profile data

– Name

– Age and/or birth year

– Gender

– City, country, and home country

– Profile text or greeting text

– Photos, videos, and other profile media

– Verification status

c. Optional profile preference and matching data

You may choose to provide additional optional profile information, including:

– Religion

– Tobacco or alcohol preferences

– Children and family preferences

– Relationship intentions or what you are looking for

– Interests

– Language

– Education

– Job information

– Lifestyle information

– Travel preferences

– Other optional dating profile details made available in the App

If you provide this information, it may be visible to other users and may be used to improve matching and recommendations.

d. Contacts data

If you grant permission, we may collect contact names and phone numbers from your device contacts in order to help filter contacts out of your proposals and improve your user experience.

e. Location and geolocation-related data

We may collect:

– Precise or approximate device location, if you grant location permission
– City or country derived from location data
– IP-based geolocation data
– Country code or public IP information used to support app functionality, fraud prevention, safety, and localization

f. Device and technical data

We may collect technical data associated with your device and use of the App, including:

– Device identifiers

– Advertising identifiers, where available and permitted

– Push notification token

– App version

– Operating system and device model

– Language settings

– IP address

– Crash and diagnostic data

– Usage and security logs

g. Communications and user content

We may collect and process:

– Chat messages

– Audio messages

– Story content

– Uploaded photos and videos

– Reports, complaints, or feedback submitted through the App

h. Payment and subscription data

If you purchase paid features, subscriptions, or digital products, we may receive limited payment-related information such as:

– Currency
– Promotional code usage, if applicable

We do not state that we receive your full bank card number directly unless we actually do so through a supported payment flow.

5. How We Collect Data ?

We collect data:

– directly from you when you register, complete your profile, upload content, contact us, or use App features

– automatically from your device and App activity

– from login providers you choose to use, such as Apple, Google, or Facebook

– from app platform providers such as Apple App Store or Google Play in connection with purchases or subscriptions. 

6. How We Use Data ?

We use personal data to:

– create and manage user accounts
– authenticate users and support sign-in
– provide the App and its features
– build and display profiles
– facilitate matching and recommendations
– enable messaging, stories, and user interactions
– process subscriptions, purchases, and premium features
– provide customer support
– detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, harassment, underage use, and safety issues
– enforce our Terms of Service and community or safety rules
– send service-related communications and notifications
– send promotional emails only where the user has provided consent
– maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App. 

7. Social Login Providers

Users may choose to sign in using supported third-party login providers such as:

– Apple Sign-In

– Google Sign-In

– Facebook Login

When you use one of these sign-in methods, we may receive limited information associated with that provider, such as an account identifier and, where available and authorized, your email address.

8. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal data and we do not share personal data with advertisers for their own independent marketing purposes.

We may disclose personal data to service providers that help us operate the App, such as providers of:

– hosting and cloud infrastructure

– authentication services

– messaging and notifications

– payment and subscription processing

– customer support, security, moderation, or technical operations

We may also disclose data:

– when required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request

– when necessary to protect the rights, safety, users, or integrity of Chat&Yamo

– in connection with investigating fraud, abuse, harassment, safety issues, or underage use. 

9. Service Providers

We may use third-party service providers to operate the App and related services. These may include:

– Amazon Web Services (AWS)

– Apple Sign-In

– Google Sign-In

– Facebook Login

– Apple App Store and Google Play, where applicable for app distribution, subscriptions, purchases, or related platform services. 

10. International Processing

Chat&Yamo is offered through major mobile app stores and may be used in countries supported by Apple App Store and Google Play, subject to platform availability and our own operational decisions.

Your data may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. By using the App, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in such locations.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide the App.

In general:

– account, profile, chat, story, media, report, evidence, technical log, backup, payment, and subscription data may be retained until account deletion
– if you choose temporary deletion, your account remains recoverable until you return, and certain data such as payment history and abuse or safety records may remain in our systems during that period
– if you choose permanent deletion, we aim to complete deletion immediately

We may retain limited information after deletion where necessary to:

– enforce age restrictions
– prevent fraud or abuse
– maintain safety records
– protect the App and our users
– comply with legal obligations. 

12. Temporary Deletion and Permanent Deletion

Users may have two different account deletion options in the App:

a. Suppression temporaire

If you choose temporary deletion:

– the account may remain recoverable until you return

– some personal profile data may be removed from active display

– payment history and abuse or safety records may remain in our systems while the account remains recoverable.

b. Permanent deletion

If you choose permanent deletion:

– we aim to delete the account and associated data immediately

– no data export feature is currently offered as an alternative to deletion. 

13. Your Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law and verification of your identity, you may request:

– access to your personal data

– correction of inaccurate personal data

– deletion of your account data

You may also:

– withdraw consent for promotional emails at any time

– stop using a social login provider and choose another supported login method where available

– use in-app account deletion tools where provided

We do not currently offer a data export or portability download feature.

To protect users, we may verify identity through:

– the account email address

– the account phone number

– proof of in-app account ownership or account access

We aim to respond to privacy requests within 30 days.

14. Promotional Communications

We may send promotional emails only if you have provided consent. You may unsubscribe or withdraw consent at any time.

We may still send service-related communications, such as messages related to account access, safety, support, or subscriptions, where necessary to operate the App.

15. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

16. Third-Party Services and Platforms

The App may interact with third-party platforms or services, including mobile operating systems, app stores, login providers, cloud providers, and other infrastructure used to operate the App. Their own terms and privacy policies may also apply to their handling of data.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date above and, where appropriate, notify users through the App or by other reasonable means.
