About this Privacy Policy

We are responsible for ensuring that your personal data is used in compliance with data protection law.

Personal data is information which in its own or in combination with other information can be used to identify you.

User is any individual who provides us personal information upon signing up and making use of Chat&Yamo App.

This page seeks to inform you about the collection and use of personal information on Chat&Yamo App found on the Google Play Store and the Apple Store for both android and IOS users.

This page further informs you of our policies as regards the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use our services and the choices associated with that data.

By downloading, installing, accessing and/or using the Chat&Yamo App and agreeing to our privacy policy you consent to the use of your personal data and for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.

If you want to withdraw your consent or would like us to stop using your personal data for any reason, you can delete your account and your profile will cease being visible to other users.

To delete your account, go to Chat&Yamo settings and click on delete account, your account shall be permanently deleted.Notwithstanding the foregoing, you may continue to receive notifications from us, to opt out of receiving notifications, you must then uninstall Chat&Yamo App. In the event of any difficulty please contact us at the details below.

Personal Data that we collect about you

We will collect and process the following personal data about you,this includes information about you that you give us when registering and using the Chat&Yamo App including :

  • Nickname
  • Username
  • Mobile number
  • Home country
  • City of residence
  • Religion
  • Profession
  • Number of children
  • Relationship status
  • Level of Education
  • Facebook email address
  • Age
  • Gender identity
  • Sexual preferences
  • Your profile picture and any other information that you include in your profile
  • Your connections and contacts, including both users of the Chat&Yamo and other contacts on your mobile device that you make available to us
  • Your photos, videos and other files on your phone, when you upload these files on the Chat&Yamo App and
  • Any information when you contact us for customer support or any other queries.

How you give us data

You choose to give us certain information when using our services this include :

  • When you create an account: You provide us with at least your phone number and email address, as well as some basic details necessary for the service to work, such as your gender and date of birth
  • When you complete your profile: You can share with us additional information. To add certain content, like pictures, you may allow us to access your camera or photo album
  • When you subscribe to a paid service: You provide our payment service provider with information, such as your mobile money account number, your debit or credit card number or other financial information
  • When you choose to participate in our promotions or events: We collect the information that you use to register or enter
  • When you contact our customer care team: We collect the information you give us during the interaction.

Your connections and Contacts

Chat&Yamo will ask you for permission to access your connections and contacts including both users of Chat&Yamo and other contacts on your mobile device that you make available to us.

We request permission to access your contacts to provide you with the blocking contact feature to avoid you to see or be seen by profiles/users from your contact list on your mobile phone.

Information we obtain from other sources

  • Facebook:In order to register with certain Chat&Yamo App, you may be asked to sign in using your Facebook login. If you do so, you are authorizing us to access and process certain Facebook account information, including information about you and your Facebook friends who might be common Facebook friends with other Chat&Yamo App users. By allowing us to access your Facebook account, you understand that we may obtain and process certain information from your Facebook account, including your name, email address, birthday, work history, education history, current city, pictures stored on Facebook, and the names, profile pictures, relationship status, and information about your Facebook friends. We only obtain information from your Facebook account that you specifically authorize and grant us permission to obtain.
  • Third party services: We may receive the information described in this Privacy Policy from third party services, such as analytics providers and advertising partners.
  • Other users: Users of Chat&Yamo App may provide us with information about you, including through customer support inquiries.

How we use your Personal data

  • The main reason we use your data is to provide and improve our services
  • To create your account to use Chat&Yamo App and allow your continue use of the App
  • To update you with advertisements, relevant offers and love quotes that may be in your interest
  • To allow other users of Chat&Yamo App contact you
  • To establish and verify your identity on Chat&Yamo App
  • To recommend you to other users
  • To ensure legal compliance
  • To inform you about any updates to Chat&Yamo App as updates to the terms of use of Chat&Yamo App as well as to this privacy policy or other changes which are relevant to you

  • To detect, prevent or deal with actual or alleged fraud, security or the abuse , misuse or unauthorised use of Chat&Yamo App

  • Other Users on Chat&Yamo App

Although we want as many people as possible to enjoy Chat&Yamo App, you need to be considered a major by the applicable law within your jurisdiction to use Chat&Yamo App.

Chat&Yamo App does not knowingly collect any information about or market to children and minors.If we become aware that a child or minor has registered with us and provided us with personal information, we will take steps to terminate that person’s registration.

We want you to be in control of your information, so we want to remind you of the following rights available to you :

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may revise this privacy policy from time to time, the current version will apply each time you access the Chat&Yamo App. We plead you frequently check this privacy policy for updates. If you do not agree to the changes, You must end your use of Chat&Yamo App but by continuing to access and use Chat&Yamo App, you acknowledge and agree to the changes.
