Community Rules
On our platform designed for singles looking for genuine connection and serious commitment, we want you to have an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
To achieve this goal, we ask you to be responsible in your behaviour and interactions with other members of our community.
The Golden Rule
Keep in mind that your presence on our platform should reflect your interactions in real life. Before sending a message, posting a comment, or adding an image, ask yourself: “Would I do this in real life?”
If the answer is no, it is probably wise to refrain from doing it online.
The Three Pillars of Online Behavior
We invite you to adhere to the following fundamental principles when interacting within the Chat&Yamo community:
- Be Kind: Always treat people with respect and kindness. Maintain a positive attitude and avoid rude, disrespectful, intimidating, defamatory, harassing, and malicious comments. Respect others’ choices and accept that they may not align with yours.
- Stay Safe: Ensure you protect your own personal information as well as that of others. Keep in mind the safety tips mentioned in our dedicated section.
- Be Honest: Present yourself truthfully and be transparent about your intentions. Do not create false identities or manipulate your background. Lies could compromise the quality of interactions and relationships established.
Additional Guidelines
- Watch Your Words: Adapt your language, especially at the beginning of a conversation. Innocent humor may be perceived differently by others. Verbal violence, racism, sectarianism, and hate speech are strictly prohibited and will be dealt with promptly. Depending on the severity, this may result in warnings or permanent exclusion from our platform.
- Report Incidents: If you observe behavior contrary to our community rules, please inform us using the appropriate reporting options. Cooperate fully with our rule enforcement team and moderators to ensure a positive and harmonious environment for all users.
Profile Photo, Username, and Introduction
Your profile photo, nickname, and initial message constitute your showcase and reflect your intentions. Choose a nickname that creates a favorable first impression and an attractive illustration that interests potential matches.
Any hateful, vulgar, or provocative proposals in your name, photo, or initial communication are likely to discourage matches and will probably lead to your exclusion from the app.
Tips for an Authentic Profile
- Ensure all your profile information is accurate, including your age and height. It is disrespectful to lie from the start, and it violates our terms of service.
- Post only photos of yourself and clearly show your face. Avoid group photos, as people may not be able to distinguish your face.
- Avoid using memes or excessive filters that distort or mask your face. People want to see what you really look like!
Consensual and Appropriate Interactions
We understand that singles may exchange suggestive and sensual messages, provided it is consensual. However, it is essential to avoid sending persistent proposals or explicit sexual content, especially in the early stages of a relationship.
Illegal Activities, Prostitution, and Sexual Misconduct
We do not permit messages or content related to illegal activities, the promotion of paid sexual services, human trafficking, or non-consensual sexual acts. Any violation of this policy will result in the closure of your account.
Tips for Healthy and Safe Interactions
- Avoid requesting or sharing confidential personal information.
- Keep a natural and gradual progression in flirtatious exchanges and intimate thoughts.
- Do not share content involving nudity, explicit material, or pornography.
- Prefer contextual images in swimwear or bikinis rather than isolated photos in enclosed spaces.
- Remove images depicting violence, drug use, or criminal activities. These do not elicit enthusiasm.
- Pay special attention to the privacy and safety of your children. Media featuring minors, even with adult supervision, will be removed.
- Meetic is not the appropriate space to promote your business, musical group, artistic achievements, or items for sale. Spammers will be banned.
Chat&Yamo Safety and Sincerity Rules
The key to safety on Chat&Yamo lies in being aware of your own security. Interact only through the Chat&Yamo app or site.
Do not disclose your information excessively quickly and never share your address, email, or phone number with someone you do not fully trust.
Be cautious of strangers asking for money, as scammers can be persuasive.
Chat&Yamo is a dating site, not an e-commerce platform. Never solicit other members for private information such as:
- Passwords;
- Social security numbers;
- Bank details;
- Personal or professional addresses.
You are not allowed to exploit a member’s information, whether public or private, for commercial or illegal purposes.
Only adults can become members, and we will permanently remove and ban any account managed by a minor. If you detect a minor, please inform us immediately to ensure both your safety and theirs.
If someone makes you uncomfortable or does not follow the rules, simply report them by clicking “Report Member” on their profile. You can also block a person if you no longer wish to have contact with them.

Avoid promoting links, external sites, or pages, as well as commercial messages in your profile or messages. Do not use copyrighted images without explicit permission.
You are responsible for any use of copyrighted images without authorization and any other content you share.
Chat&Yamo Conduct and Cybersecurity Rules
We hope that our singles have the opportunity to meet, whether for a one-on-one date or during a Chat&Yamo workshop.
We encourage you to remain polite, safe, respectful, and sincere throughout your interactions and relationships, as this is the best attitude to adopt.
Cyberbullying leads nowhere, especially not to love. On Chat&Yamo, we consider it cyberbullying when a person repeatedly sends messages to the same person without receiving a response.
Such messages can affect the other person’s sensitivity and dignity if they are repetitive and contain insults, discriminatory or defamatory remarks, non-consensual sexual content, or unsolicited inappropriate images.
To combat this behavior, we ask you to follow these rules:
- Rule #1. Patience: Wait for a response, or not, if that is the other person’s choice.
- Rule #2. Moderation: Following up once is acceptable, twice is borderline, three times is too much.
- Rule #3. Respect: Always treat the other person with respect, avoiding offensive language, inappropriate unsolicited images, or any other offensive content.
If you receive persistent and uncomfortable messages, follow these steps to alert us and end the situation:
- Report a profile from their messaging to alert the moderation and security team. Each profile report is handled promptly, ranging from a warning to permanent profile removal.
- Block a profile to prevent the person from contacting you.
By adhering to these rules, we can work together to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all Chat&Yamo users.
