“After six months of a long-distance relationship, […] I told him ‘I love you’ for the first time.” ”I met Camille on Chat&Yamo. I’d just gone through a very difficult break-up, but at that point in my life, I was doing better, I’d got over my previous affair and I was starting to heal. And so was he. Camille, 37, lives in France and had been separated for several years. We really met at the right time. It wouldn’t have worked, I’m sure. I felt ready for something more or less serious.
When I met him in the app, I quickly knew that it wasn’t going to be the same as with the others, that there was substance and above all that he was very attentive, gentle, patient… That I wasn’t in a “fast” game of seduction but that he was more serious. We met on the Chat&Yamo app. I’d already been there between relationships, and I’ve met quite a few women here in France, some of whom I’ve just shared a meal with, others with whom I’ve remained friends. Sandrine is 26 years old. In a live interview on Tiktok, a young woman of integrity, reliability and commitment shared her experience of the app with us. For several years, she had been in a toxic, one-way relationship, isolating herself and losing faith in love. Her day was divided between work, social networking, friends and home.
One day, during a break with Patricia, one of her friends, who had come to give her advice and cheer her up after some difficulties, she suggested that she try out the Chat&Yamo app, as it was through this channel that she had met her fiancé. Of course, Sandrine had her reservations about meeting people using an online dating app, but she chose to try it out out of courtesy. She then registered with Chat&Yamo in the marriage category. Numerous profiles immediately flooded in, profiles which, as she recalls, “didn’t exactly match what I was looking for.” She was forced to uninstall the app.
In February 2023, a second time. “I’m reconnecting, so I’ve improved my profile by adding some beautiful photos and a description, but my goal remains the same, to find someone to see eye-to-eye with.” She also points out that “My preference settings and such had also been updated.” It was this transformation that enabled her to meet Adrien, a young manager looking for a loving, sincere and serious relationship.
Immediately after meeting on Chat&Yamo, the couple began to identify many similarities in their exchanges and physical encounter, which led them to make the unanimous decision to leave the app. A few months later, the dowry and civil wedding took place. They then began the process of moving to Canada.They have now been living in Quebec since 8 months.

Dayana, 27 years , who lives in Porto-Novo, Benin, is a dynamic, sociable and dedicated young woman who was keen to share her experience of the application with us.After multiple disappointments in love, she became isolated and had no time for dating. She divided her time between work, social networking and home.
One day, during her free time on social networks, she discovered the Chat&Yamo app thanks to an influencer. Naturally skeptical about the idea of meeting people via an online dating app, she nevertheless decided to give it a try: “I had downloaded the app, created an account and added a few photos of myself out of sheer curiosity.”
She adds, “Given that I no longer believed in love and online relationships, Chat&Yamo put the smile back on my face.”Afterwards, she was bombarded by numerous requests, and only one succeeded in capturing her interest.On April 20, 2022, Dayana met Jacques-Camille, also living in Benin, just two weeks after starting to use the app. “I met my husband, an extraordinary man who is there for me and our daughter, and we live happily ever after.”

Shortly afterwards, I received a number of requests, including one from Gérôme. We chatted and got to know each other well, but after three months of dating, I made the decision to end our relationship, as we weren’t compatible.” Following this setback, she decided to take a two-week introspective break before relaunching. “After sweeping the past under the rug, I was ready to relaunch again. I reactivated my account and updated my profile to get lots of matches.”She had several encounters and only one managed to capture her attention.
“When Paul, saw my Chat&Yamo profile, he was dazzled, my photos were beautiful, natural and without any artifice. He thought I was a fake, given his unfortunate experiences on other dating sites. However, the blue badge on my profile put his mind at rest, not to mention the video calls we also made.”
Paul, originally from the Ivory Coast, lives in France. He discovered the application through an influencer and decided to give it a try. For a long time, he was looking for a rare and precious pearl. He came to Ouagadougou twice. One to introduce himself and the other to make their marriage official. He was there with several members of his family.

Sonia wanted to share her experience of the Chat&Yamo app with us on March 18, 2024. She lives in Libreville, Gabon. After downloading the app, she chose to register in the “lasting love” category, as she wanted a relationship that would complement each other even more. She added 5 beautiful photos of herself and wrote a description of what she was looking for.
After browsing the application, she accepted a number of requests that matched her expectations. The one from Jules particularly caught his attention, as his description was very funny.He is Franco-Gabonese and currently lives in Libreville. They struck up a conversation without waiting too long, and the feeling quickly spread between them before the physical meeting, which didn’t take long.
“I still remember our first meeting, which took place in a sober, classy restaurant in the city. Isabelle, a respectable, sociable and altruistic young woman, wanted to share her experience of the Chat&Yamo application with us. She had been single for a long time because of her tumultuous past in love, and wanted to rediscover the fulfillment of yesteryear.
Registering on Chat&Yamo in the marriage category, many profiles flocked in immediately, profiles which, she recalls, “weren’t exactly aligned with what I was looking for.”“It was the first time I’d registered on this app and with this bad experience, I already had in my ear all the mockery from those who’d warned me that you can’t find anything there in this type of app. It hurt”.
July 2023, second attempt. “I’m reconnecting, my goal remains the same, to find someone to see eye-to-eye with,But this time I’ve opted for a different approach.”“First I’d opted for a change of scenery, now chatting with singles further away from me: France, Canada, Spain and so on. My preferences and other settings had also been updated”, she recounts.

“I arrived in Kinshasa at the beginning of December, looking forward to spending the festive season with my family and Cathy.I hadn’t been back since I left to pursue my studies in Canada. To tell the truth, I was really looking forward to this meeting. Hi, I’m Gabrielle, from Ivory Coast, living in Abidjan. I discovered Chat&Yamo thanks to an influencer I follow and decided to give it a try out of sheer curiosity. So I created an account in January and just a few hours after, requests were flooding. Although I was surprised how things had gone so quick, one request stood out for me, it was from Amed.
We started chatting without expecting too much, at least from my side because you know dating apps…For a while it was hard to keep in touch, and then we kind of lost touch, we went on with our busy lives.During that time I continued to receive notifications of new matches, and would sometimes log on to chat, to ward off boredom.

Five gorgeous photos, a video and a description of his search later, he received a match from Sandra.“For a while,” he says, ”we encountered difficulties, as we didn’t have that ease in communicating with each other, but we’ve remained good friends now. ”Finally, Brice met Julie a few weeks later on the platform.
She is originally from Cameroon and currently resides in Yaoundé. They started chatting quickly, and their connection was quickly established before the physical meeting, which didn’t take long on the Yaoundé side, as he went there. After much soul-searching, Brice and Julie decided to settle down together in Douala (Cameroon). He describes Julie as reliable, genuine, serious and faithful.
