Creating an account on Chat&Yamo is a quick and easy process:

• Download: Download the Chat&Yamo app from the App Store or Google Play.
• Registration: Open the app, click on “Create an account,” then provide your basic information (phone number, name, age, and email address).
• Verification: By adding your WhatsApp number, you will receive a confirmation code to validate your number. We recommend that you enter your email address correctly, as it will allow you to recover your account in case of any issues.

Complete your profile: enter your lifestyle habits and interests, then add photos and (ideally) a video. This is a crucial step to start generating matches!

It’s very easy to keep your information up to date:

• Log in to your account and go to “My Profile” by clicking on your photo or on the profile icon at the bottom of the screen.
• Select “Edit” to change your name, description, interests, or add new photos.

Don’t forget to save your changes so that they are visible to other users.  

To customize your alerts, go to your account’s “Settings” and select the “Notifications” tab. There, you can easily enable or disable push notifications and emails according to your preferences (new messages, new matches, or visits to your profile). We recommend leaving them enabled so you don’t miss any opportunities!

The email address you provided when you registered allows you to regain access to your account in case of a problem with your account or number. If the problem persists, you can write to us directly in the application via the messaging icon to get help.

We offer a temporary deactivation option that allows you to take a break and return to the app whenever you decide:

• Log in to your account.
• Click on the profile icon and select “Settings.”
• In the account section, simply choose the temporary deletion option.

Please note that permanent deletion is an irreversible action. You will lose all your data completely and will need to create a new account if you wish to return. To proceed:

• Log in, go to the profile icon, and select “Settings.”
• In the account section, select permanent deletion.
• You will receive a confirmation notification. Once validated, all your data will be permanently deleted.

To add or modify your photos, the process is very simple:

• Log in to your account.
• Access “My Profile” by clicking on your profile photo or on the profile icon at the bottom of the screen.
• Select the “Edit” option to add new photos (or change other information such as your name and interests).
• Don’t forget to save your changes so that they are visible to other users.

To ensure an authentic community, your photos must clearly represent you. The basic rules are simple: your face must be clearly visible and not hidden. Photos containing nudity, violence, underage individuals, or offensive content will be rejected. Choose a clear, smiling portrait to maximize your chances!

Once you save your changes, your profile and photos will become visible to other users. Depending on the subscription you choose, your profile can be seen by:

• Local singles and users in your country of residence (with the Solo Pack or Diaspora Elite Pack).
• Users around the world (with the Diaspora Elite Pack).

For Premium subscribers who want to browse discreetly, go to your account’s “Settings” and then to the “Visibility” section. There you will find an option to control who you allow to see your profile. By activating it, you will no longer appear in new suggestions, but you can still continue chatting with your current Matches. It’s the perfect way to take a break without losing your contacts!

If your photo has been rejected, it is usually because it does not meet our security criteria. This could be because the image is too blurry, a fake profile has been detected (photo of a celebrity), or you cannot be identified in the photo (too large a group, opaque sunglasses). Simply upload a new, well-framed portrait photo to validate your profile.

The principle is simple: when you find a profile you like, send them a “Like” to show your interest. If that person also visits your profile and sends you a Like in return, it’s a Match! You’ll receive an instant notification and the chat feature will be unlocked so you can break the ice.

To find out who is interested in you, we offer a premium subscription. This subscription gives you access to advanced features, including the ability to see exactly who has viewed your profile.

Our application offers advanced filtering options right from the start. For even more specific criteria:

• The premium subscription gives you access to additional search filters.
• With the Premium Plus Pack, you can filter your searches by intention (serious relationship, friendship, etc.) or by religion, making it easier to find connections that are more relevant and respectful of your values.

On Chat&Yamo, we’ve made getting in touch very intuitive thanks to our real-time chat feature. Once you’ve found a profile you like and you’re connected, simply go to your messaging tab. Click on the conversation, write your best icebreaker message, and press send to start chatting!

We offer three options: the Premium Plus Package (to unlock all features), the Diaspora Elite Package (for local and international dating), and the Solo Package (for exclusively local dating). Prices vary depending on the subscription level.

To activate your subscription, we accept several payment methods. From your profile, after selecting your package, you can choose to pay by credit card or Mobile Money (Wave, MTN MoMo, …), depending on your preference.

Our subscriptions are generally renewed automatically at the end of each period. However, you will always be notified of the renewal before you are charged. If you wish, you can of course choose to cancel this automatic renewal at any time to stop your subscription.

To ensure your safety, we recommend that you never disclose sensitive personal information (addresses, bank details). When meeting in person, always choose a public place and inform a friend of your plans. Finally, trust your instincts: if a situation makes you uncomfortable, don’t hesitate to use our blocking tools.

If you encounter inappropriate behavior or a fake profile, go to the user’s profile and scroll down to find the report button. Select the reason (e.g., scam, fake profile) and submit your report. Our team will immediately review the situation. You can also block the user to prevent any future contact on the app.
