What we expect from everyone here.
On a platform built for singles seeking authentic connections and serious relationships, we want your experience to be both pleasant and meaningful. To make that happen, we ask that you act responsibly in your behavior and interactions.
"Would I do this in real life?"
Your presence on the platform should mirror how you interact in real life. Before sending a message, posting a comment, or uploading an image, ask yourself this question. If the answer is no, it's probably wise to refrain.
The Three Pillars of Online Conduct
Three core principles to keep in mind throughout all your interactions within the community.
Be Kind
Always treat others with respect and kindness. Avoid disrespectful, intimidating, defamatory, or malicious remarks. Honor other people's choices, even when they don't align with your own.
Stay Safe
Protect your personal information as well as others'. Keep in mind the tips shared in our dedicated safety section.
Be Honest
Present yourself authentically and be clear about your intentions. Don't create fake identities or misrepresent your background: dishonesty undermines genuine connections.
Profile Photo, Username & First Message
Your photo, username, and initial message serve as your storefront and reflect your intentions. Any hateful, vulgar, or provocative content in your name, pictures, or opening message will deter potential matches and likely lead to your removal from the app.
Accurate Information
Make sure all details on your profile are accurate, including your age and height. Lying right from the start is disrespectful and violates our terms of service.
Photos of You, Face Clearly Visible
Only upload photos of yourself where your face is clearly shown. Avoid group photos where it's hard to tell who you are.
No Distortion Filters
Skip the memes and heavy filters that obscure your face. People want to see what you actually look like.
Mind Your Language
Choose your words carefully, especially when starting a conversation: innocent humor can easily be misinterpreted. Verbal abuse, racism, bigotry, and hate speech are strictly forbidden and may result in a warning or a permanent ban.
Consensual & Appropriate Interactions
Singles are free to exchange suggestive and playful messages, provided it is mutual and consensual. It remains essential to avoid pushy advances or explicitly sexual content, particularly during the early stages of getting to know someone.
A Natural Pace
Let flirtatious banter and intimate topics build up naturally. Avoid asking for or sharing sensitive personal information too soon.
No Nudity or Explicit Content
Do not share any content depicting nudity or pornography. Contextual swimwear shots are acceptable, unlike isolated explicit photos taken in private settings.
Protect Minors
Pay special attention to your children's privacy and safety. Media depicting minors, even alongside an adult, will be removed. Only adults are allowed to join, and any account operated by a minor will be permanently deleted.
Not a Commercial Platform
Chat&Yamo is not the place to promote your business, music group, creative work, or second-hand items. Spammers will be banned. Do not use copyrighted images without authorization.
Grounds for Immediate Account Termination
Certain violations carry zero tolerance and will result in immediate termination without warning.
We do not tolerate any messages or content related to:
- illegal activities;
- the promotion of paid sexual services;
- human trafficking;
- non-consensual sexual acts.
Any violation will lead to immediate account removal, and unlawful behavior will be reported to the relevant authorities.
- passwords;
- social security numbers;
- bank details or financial information;
- home or work addresses.
You are not permitted to exploit another member's information, whether public or private, for commercial or illegal purposes.
Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying leads nowhere, least of all to love. We define cyberbullying as repeatedly sending messages to someone who hasn't responded. These messages infringe upon a person's dignity when they become persistent, insulting, discriminatory, sexually explicit without consent, or accompanied by unsolicited images.
Patience
Wait for a reply, or accept the silence if that's what the other person chooses.
Moderation
Following up once is acceptable, twice is pushing it, three times is too much.
Respect
Always treat others respectfully, without abusive language or unsolicited inappropriate media.
If you receive persistent and uncomfortable messages
Report the profile directly from the chat to alert our moderation team. Every report is reviewed promptly, leading to actions ranging from warnings to permanent account bans.
Block the profile to prevent the person from contacting you again.
